Jennifer Ho is currently the Deputy Director of APCASO, a regional civil society network of community-based and non-governmental organisations on health and social justice. She has been working in the area of health, including HIV/AIDS and sexual reproductive health, TB, and malaria through the lens of human rights, gender, community mobilisations, network developments, treatment access, advocacy and policy. Jennifer started her work in HIV as outreach worker to the sex workers and drug users communities in Los Angeles in the mid-1990s before returning to Asia-Pacific in early 2000. Since then, she has advocated extensively and supported the development of key populations networks and community-based/community-led health services in the region.
Jennifer now manages the Global Fund Asia Pacific Community, Rights and Gender Communication and Coordination Platform hosted by APCASO. She is also a Board Member to AIDS Care China, a PLHIV-led NGO in China, and ViiV Healthcare’s Positive Action for Girls and Women Fund.
